Floris Legere is the life project of Ludovic Vano, a French agronomist and winemaker living in Spain since 2005, and Sierra, an Aragonese geography and history teacher. Ludovic became a grower in early 2011 in Villarroya de la Sierra, a village with a long winemaking tradition within the Calatayud D.O. They work old Garnacha vines in mountain viticulture, at 800 to 1,000 metres, with hand harvesting, in plots such as La Cañadilla, Llano Quemado, El Val and Acered. Winemaking is traditional. They make two wines: Alaviana, a Garnacha red with a share of Syrah, fruity with light hints of oak, and Atractylis, a 100% Syrah with long barrel ageing.
