Gerida Viticultors
About the winery
Gerida Viticultors is the project of three young winegrowers from the Conca de Barberà who want to preserve the family and winegrowing legacy of their land. They make wine from their own grapes in Blancafort, in an old cellar where wine was already being made more than a hundred and thirty years ago. They focus on the vineyard and treat each plot according to the wine they want from it, with traditional varieties such as Macabeo, Parellada, Ull de Llebre and Trepat aged between 80 and 95 years. They aim for fresh, approachable and fun wines, such as Galliné, Poal, Estupendu, Encantats, Tardaner, Cuvic and Macadello. Visits range from an explanation of the winemaking with a tasting of three wines to tastings in the vineyards with bike rides or horse-drawn carriage trips.
