About the winery
Hacienda Ucediños is a family winery in O Barco de Valdeorras, in the D.O. Valdeorras, based in the Os Ucediños area. It is run by brothers Marcos and Eladio, who describe themselves as small producers and also run a restaurant in O Barco. Its production focuses entirely on the two main varieties of the area, Godello and Mencía, from dry-farmed vineyards. Both grapes are fermented in tank to preserve fruit and varietal character, and a small portion of the Mencía is aged in barrel. Its wines include a Godello, a Mencía and the lees-aged Godello Don Eladio Expresión. The winery exports part of its production and has taken part in the Feira do Viño de Valdeorras wine fair.
