About the winery

Karretània is a small winery in Consell, in the centre of Mallorca, within the Mallorca vino de la tierra. It is run by Toni and Georgina, and its name comes from the place name from which Cerdanya derives, the Pyrenean district where she was born, linked to Mallorca through the history of the old Crown of Mallorca. The couple farm Toni's family estates with vines, olive and almond trees, and their almost 10 hectares of vineyards, in Consell and Santa Maria del Camí, are organic and harvested by hand. They make single-varietal wines from native grapes separately, in very limited editions: Premsal, Giró, Malvasia de Banyalbufar, Manto Negro, Callet and Escursac. They aim for young or lightly aged wines, fresh and easy to drink. They also make vermouth and olive oil.
