About the winery
Bodegas Marín Perona is a wine company in Valdepeñas, in the province of Ciudad Real, belonging to the D.O. Valdepeñas, with premises on Calle Castellanos. It began operating in the 1980s and for its first two decades was mainly devoted to winemaking. From 2000 it added cold stabilisation and a bottling line, and began marketing its own wines. Its range, according to the Spanish Ministry's Agricultura magazine, included the crianza Calar Viejo, a reserva bearing the company name and the Tejeruelas wines in semi-dry and rosé versions, all with D.O. Valdepeñas, as well as table wines under the Chortal label. The winery is located in one of the most traditional wine areas of La Mancha.
