About the winery
Montpicolis is a family winery in Vilobí del Penedès that takes its name from Picolís mountain, next to the family home. Parents and grandparents already worked the land, but the project was born on Christmas Eve 2009, when brothers Dani and Xavi bet that the following year they would be drinking their own wine. Everything they make is organic, with varieties such as Xarel·lo and Malvasia de Sitges, ranging from the Asimètric and Els Pedrets wines to Clàssic Penedès sparklers such as Trenta, a rosé and an ancestral-method Malvasia. The visit, by reservation on weekend mornings, includes a walk through the vineyard, the winery, entered through the family courtyard, and a tasting of three of their products.
