About the winery
Sacra Wines, the project behind Sacramento Wines, is a small winery in Campo de Criptana, in the heart of La Mancha, whose hallmark is making its wines underground. Fermentation and ageing take place in underground concrete vats, a traditional method in the area that keeps the temperature stable, allows gentle micro-oxygenation and lets the grape speak without adding outside flavours; they also champion it as a lower-impact choice for the environment. Their range, presented with imagery inspired by earthly gods, includes a Monastrell, a Tempranillo, a white blend of Airén and Sauvignon Blanc and another of Chardonnay and Verdejo.
