About the winery
Terra Remota was born in 1999, when the Bournazeau Florensa family bought a 40-hectare estate in the Alt Empordà, near Capmany and Sant Climent Sescebes, within the Empordà D.O. It lies in the middle of woodland, sheltered from the tramontana by the Albera range, 15 kilometres from the sea and on granite soils; its logo uses two symbols carved by the Iberian peoples who once lived here. Its gravity-flow winery blends into the landscape and hand-crafts organic wines that seek softness and elegance, such as Caminante, Camino, Clos Adrien, Clos Adèle, GG and its Chenin. Visits tour the vineyard and winery with guided tastings, and there are options such as vertical and blind tastings, picnics among the vines and art exhibitions.
