About the winery
A long family tradition destined Julián Ostolaza Manterola to make Txakoli; in 1992 he founded GAÑETA and set up and equipped a state-of-the-art winery. The tradition was started by grandfather Manuel in the 19th century for his own consumption and continued in the 20th century by his son José María. This hobby led his descendants to carry on this artisanal work, but now with a firm commercial focus, well into the 21st century. We sell directly to restaurants, gastronomic societies, specialist shops, bars… and export to the United States.
