Vega Tolosa

About the winery

Vega Tolosa is a family winery in Casas-Ibáñez (Albacete), in the Manchuela D.O., whose story begins in 1905, when the great-grandfather planted the first Bobal vines on this plateau at over 700 metres. It was Juan Miguel Tolosa who built the current winery and began bottling instead of selling the grapes, and the family later moved to organic farming. Today the fourth generation makes sparkling wines such as Vega Tolosa Brut Nature Gran Reserva, a Brut Nature from the native Tardana variety and Capricho DiVino, as well as Finca Los Halcones Viognier and Bobal Crianza Viñas Viejas. The family personally guides the tour through the production area, the barrel room and the cellar, which ends with a tasting with cured meats, Manchego cheese and their own olive oil. Children are welcome.
