About the winery
Viñas del Vero owes its name to a river in the Somontano area, the river Vero, famous for its ravines, gorges and canyons. The Viñas del Vero winery was established in Somontano at the end of 1986 with the purchase of 550 hectares of land in Barbastro and other nearby villages. In 1987 the land began to be replanted with vineyards of the region's traditional varieties (Tempranillo, Moristel, Garnacha and Macabeo), together with others of different origins (Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir).
