About the winery
Our business project was born in the second half of the 19th century, when Mr Francisco Javier Solano y Eulate, “Marqués de la Solana”, owner of a family winery and a large expanse of vineyards in Villabuena, decided, following the advice of the famous Bordeaux oenologist of the time, Mr Pineau, to begin making and ageing quality wines using methods imported from the Médoc and to sell them bottled, after ageing, under the “Marqués de la Solana” brand.
