About the winery
In 1970, a group of enterprising farmers from Puente Genil, in the province of Córdoba (Spain), joined together and founded the La Purísima Winegrowing Cooperative, located in the geographical centre of Andalusia, an area with a thousand-year history of producing high-quality wines and oils. Later, because many members also farmed olive groves, it was decided to build an oil mill with the most modern technology for extracting olive oil, as well as an olive-curing plant.
