About the winery
Adega O Casal is a winery in Rubiá, in eastern Ourense province, registered with the D.O. Valdeorras, which sells its wines under the Casal Novo brand. It works with the area's own grapes, above all Godello and Mencía, growing them selectively and with care for the environment. Its Casal Novo Godello is made in stainless steel tanks, and among the reds, besides Casal Novo Mencía, it makes a Merenzao, a rare traditional red grape, with a small proportion of Mencía.
