About the winery
Mr Jaume Almirall Olivella was born in 1926 in Vilafranca del Penedès. When he was 5, the family moved to Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. His father, a carter and farmer by trade, obtained the lease of a vineyard in the area of “Les Rovires”, devoted himself to farming it and began making wine in the small cellar on the ground floor of the house on Carrer Diputació where they lived.
