Aratis Vinum

◍ León

About the winery

Aratis Vinum is a family project in Cacabelos, in the heart of El Bierzo (León). The people behind it grew up in the area and learned from their elders the value of working the land, and through the winery they aim to keep that heritage alive by recovering and caring for traditional vineyards. They farm their own vines in San Juan de la Mata and in Cacabelos itself, and make wine in small batches, putting quality ahead of quantity. Their flagship is Los Quíos, a Mencía from century-old vines, which also comes in a more ambitious limited version, Los Quíos Selección. The range is completed by Luz, a fresh and elegant wine, and Surcos, designed to show the character of Bierzo.
