About the winery
There are three of us partners at Artcava: Eric, the winemaker; Ignasi, who takes care of the business side of things (somebody has to); and Ramon, in charge of wine tourism. We opened the doors of Artcava in 2004. The idea came to us one evening while chatting with a bottle of cava in our hands. Well, everything starts with an idea, but in our case, with a lot of work and determination, our idea has become a wonderful reality. Ignasi's family has grown grapes and made wine since 1730, but the old winery was abandoned in the 1950s and was in poor condition.
