About the winery

The Banzao Project is a commitment to enhancing and preventing the disappearance of the vineyards in San Pedro de Olleros, a small village at 750 m of altitude in the Ancares river valley, in the municipality of Vega de Espinareda, in the El Bierzo area (León). In 2017, 3 ha of old, abandoned vineyards were leased and their restoration began. The vines are registered in the Bierzo Designation of Origin and located in the Ancares Leoneses Biosphere Reserve, an area of high biological diversity.
