About the winery
Bell Cros is a young winery with old vines in Falset, in the D.O. Montsant, whose name combines the Catalan word for beautiful and the local term for a hollow. It was founded by Swedes Ann and Peter Skoglund, who in 2017 bought seven adjoining vineyards and switched them to organic farming from the first year; today both vineyard and winery are certified organic and the wines are also vegan. Most vines are between 40 and 70 years old and the focus is on Garnacha and Cariñena, with reds, whites, rosés and sparkling wines such as El Camí, La Figaflor, Selecció Delfí and the ONE OFF series. Visits, friendly and almost always private, are led by the team itself: they tour the winery and end with a tasting among barrels and tanks or under a fig tree in its Marçà vineyard.
