About the winery
100 Cepas is a family winery in Corbillos de los Oteros, in the Oteros district of León, and describes itself as the smallest in the D.O. León. Production is handled by family members themselves, who work by hand to preserve the old ways. They grow around one and a half hectares of prieto picudo and albarín, two native León varieties, which give three wines: 100 Cepas Albarín, a white, and two 100% prieto picudo reds aged in French and American oak, 100 Cepas and 100 Cepas Crianza. The visit takes in the winemaking room, a historic cave kept as it was a century ago, and another cave where the wine is aged, ending with a tasting of the three wines paired with typical León products.
