About the winery
Within the Cigales D.O., the “Amalio del Pozo” winery stands on a hillock, where the wine is born and grows, surrounded by 25 hectares of vineyards 400 metres from the village of Mucientes. In a family setting, the winery was born with the planting of its first vines in 1986. From the care and work of those vineyards came the first wines, their first clarete, named “Amalio”, in 1991. Tempranillo, Verdejo, Albillo and Cabernet Sauvignon blend in the work of the young vineyard with the restlessness and enthusiasm of a man and his land. This is how our young and mature wines are born.
