About the winery
Finca de la Rica, Labastida, in the south of the province of Álava. On the El Convento plot, in the very heart of Rioja Alavesa. At the end of the 19th century the area's terrain prevented the arrival of the railway, thereby avoiding the industrialisation that took place in other parts of Rioja, which led the wineries of Labastida to retain an eminently family character.
