Bodega Bideona

About the winery

Bideona is a winery in Rioja Alavesa whose name comes from the Basque bide ona, good path. Behind it is a group of wine-trade veterans who want to contribute to a new generation of Riojas truer to their origin, with sustainability in mind. They make single-plot, single-site and village wines from the area's historic vineyards: a collection of village wines from Laguardia, Villabuena, Samaniego, Leza and Lanciego; Las Parcelas, in white and red; Laderas Tempranillo and Cabezadas Viura, plus Mayela, a young unoaked red. They offer guided tours of the winery with a tasting in their wine bar, overlooking the Sierra de Cantabria, walks out to one of their plots, self-guided e-bike routes among old vines and a special harvest experience.
