About the winery
A winemaker by vocation; Paco Villanueva's grandfather and father were wine and spirits merchants. When his grandfather was a wine dealer, he imported barrels of red wine from Rioja and Sherry wines from Spain to Mexico. There were also bottles of French Champagne with personalised labels for his grandfather, a distributor for Mexico. “As a child, that was my first image of the world of wine, and it never left my mind. On the office bookshelf there were a couple of oenology books; they have been in my hands ever since.”
