Bodega Cerro de las Cruces is based in Guadix, within the Granada Geopark, and sources its grapes mainly from its own vineyards in the Pago de Bertillana, planted from 2005; the winery was founded in 2013. Its owner is José María Linares. It grows Tempranillo, Merlot and Syrah for reds and Moscatel de grano menudo, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay for whites, with a small, carefully tended production, and ages its wines in a cave dug into the clay of the hill itself. Its wines are Aura, Tío Cato and Juno. The visit explains the Geopark and the soils formed from ancient lake sediments, takes in the vineyard and the ageing cave and ends in the tasting room with local products.
