About the winery
Bodegas César del Río is a family winery in Cordovín, in Rioja Alta and within the D.O.Ca. Rioja, with a second site in Alesanco. César del Río founded it in 1988 to sell his own wines, and today the winemaker is Iván del Río. They work with two lines. Under the César del Río label they make young, fresh and fruity wines: red, white and clarete, the latter following the traditional method of Cordovín, the Rioja village known for its clarete. The Yursun line comes from a selection of their best vineyards and aims to show the character of the land and of Rioja's native grape varieties.
