About the winery
Bodega Convento San Francisco was founded in 1998 on the remains of the old Convent of San Francisco in Peñafiel (Valladolid), built in the 13th century. We have restored the surroundings to bring back the splendour of this treasured spot and to build inside it the facilities needed to make high-quality wines. The winery has modern facilities perfectly adapted to the architectural ensemble that houses them. The newly built buildings were designed using the style and materials (stone, Mudéjar brick and wood)
