About the winery

The essence of our cultural identity lies just a few metres from Bodega del Abad: the Monastery of Carracedo, founded by Bermudo II “the Gouty” in the year 990. Restored in the 12th century, it displays a succession of architectural styles: Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance. The old medieval monastery inspires one of our great wines: the red Carracedo.
