About the winery
Familia Navascués is the project of Jorge Navascués and his father Jesús, a family of winemakers with a long career as consultants in Aragón and other regions. In 2015 they revived the Mancuso brand, focused on Garnacha, and looked for vineyards in Almonacid de la Sierra, a village in the D.O.P. Cariñena in the foothills of the Sierra de Algairén. There they farm old owned and rented vines of Garnacha, Cariñena and Macabeo, some on slate, and since 2025 they have been making wine in a restored old winery with underground cellars, fermenting and ageing in concrete and large-format wood. Their wines are Cutio, a Macabeo white and a Garnacha red with a little Cariñena; Mancuso, a Garnacha; and the single-plot Mas de Mancuso series.
