About the winery
Hijos de Rufino Iglesias is a family winery in Mucientes, Valladolid, within the D.O. Cigales. Its range revolves around the wines of the area. Carratraviesa Rosado Selección is made from free-run must of selected grapes from old vineyards with several varieties grown together, mainly Tempranillo, with some Grenache and white grapes such as Albillo and Verdejo, and is bottled a few weeks after the harvest. The Rufino Iglesias rosé, with a higher share of white grapes, is a light wine meant to go with everyday meals. Among reds they offer Millatos, a 100% Tempranillo made from destemmed whole grapes with temperature-controlled fermentation. The family takes its wines to fairs and public tastings across Castilla y León.
