About the winery
FyA is a Grupo Piérola winery in Navarrete, in Rioja Alta and within the D.O.Ca. Rioja, combining a winery, hotel and museum surrounded by hills and vineyards. Its wines are made with respect for the environment and include some unusual styles: FyA Tinaja, aged in clay jars, and its crianza version, which then goes into barrel; FyA 8, a Tempranillo with eight months in 500-litre barrels; FyA Maturana Tinta, aged in American oak; and FyA B, a semi-sweet Viura and Malvasía. Its museum holds a collection of 850 pieces of antique wine-related ceramics. Guided visits tour the winery and museum with a tasting, in a classic version or a premium one with tapas, and on some Saturdays there are wine and chocolate pairings.
