About the winery
Celler Joaquim Batlle, also known as Quim Batlle, is based in Tiana, in the Maresme, within the D.O. Alella, and makes organic wines from the grapes of this small appellation. Its vines face the Mediterranean and grow on sauló, the sandy granite soil typical of the area, swept by the foranell, a wind very particular to this corner of Catalonia. Its wines include Foranell Cupatge, Coriolis, Rasó and a brut nature sparkling wine made from Picapoll, as well as a vertical tasting of blends called Loles. The winery offers wine tourism with a cellar visit, a walk through the vineyard and a tasting of its wines.
