About the winery
Bodega Los Frutales is an organic winery in the Serranía de Ronda (Málaga), within the D.O. Sierras de Málaga. Its story begins with the winegrowing tradition of Puente Genil and found its home at Finca Los Frutales, about 3 km south of Ronda and 700 metres above sea level, sheltered from the coastal winds by the Sierra de las Nieves and the Sierra de Grazalema. The hillside vineyard grows on clay-limestone soils and is farmed organically with Merlot, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. It produces a white wine made from red grapes, Merlot rosés and the reds Hacienda Vizcondesa and Igualado, aged 12 months in French and American oak. The visit starts at the estate itself, takes you through the vineyard and the winery and ends with a tasting of its wines paired with Iberian products, in Spanish or English.
