About the winery
Bodega Los Matucos S.L. was born in February 2004. As early as the mid-19th century, the brothers Rafael and Ignacio Esteban (Los Matucos) worked in San Martín de Rubiales (Burgos) in the alcohol industry, on the one hand making wine in the “Quintana” wine press, within the village centre, and on the other making aguardiente in the distillery located opposite the then newly built railway station.
