About the winery
Bodega Los Olmos is the cooperative of Quintana del Pidio (Burgos), in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. It was born in 1963, when a dozen members decided to make their wine together, and today it brings together many families who tend more than 120 hectares of Tempranillo with an average age of about 50 years, much of it bush-trained. They make five wines, including an unoaked young red, a Roble and a saignée rosé of Tempranillo. The village preserves wine presses, underground galleries and ventilation chimneys, and the winery organises visits on request that take in the vineyard, the cooperative and this underground heritage.
