Bodega Pura Viña
About the winery
Pura Viña is a project in the D.O. Bullas, in north-western Murcia, born from three friends who call themselves the Prophet, the Hedonist and the Vigneronne and share a passion for winemaking. They farm around 8 hectares on chosen plots in the Sol and Umbría valleys, with high-altitude vineyards at about 900 metres on clay-limestone and stony soils, planted with Monastrell and Garnacha Tintorera. Everything is done by hand, with low yields, native yeasts and ageing in used barrels. Their wines are Paraje Norte, Paraje Oeste, Tío Santiago, from 50-year-old vines and whole bunches, Tía Manuela, Garnacha Tintorera and Monastrell. Visits are led by their winemaker, Rafael Moreno, with options ranging from a vineyard walk to a lunch among the vines or a tasting in the winery.
