About the winery
Rafael Palacios, the project: Rafael Palacios began his personal project in 2004 in the Valle del Bibei sub-zone, in the municipality of O Bolo, D.O. Valdeorras, buying old vineyards of the native white variety Godello from elderly growers. The extreme terrain and the low yields of its poor soils, phylloxera and the depression of the 1920s led to the almost total abandonment of this small but historic wine district of Valdeorras.
