About the winery
Bodegas Sampayolo is a small winery located in the village of Petín (Ourense), one of those villages of «empty Spain» with barely 900 inhabitants. It is 20 kilometres from the Manzaneda ski resort and 30 from Las Médulas, the largest gold mine of the ancient Roman Empire, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1997.
