About the winery
The winery project was started by the Sánchez – Rosado family in 1998, when they acquired the “La Chamuscá” estate, located in the hills of the municipality of Cártama, some 20 km west of the city of Málaga, Andalusia, in the far south of Spain. Their intention was to recover the winemaking tradition that existed long ago, before phylloxera, in the Sierra de Cártama, and this has been the main motivation throughout these years of hard work and journeying through the fascinating world of wine.
