About the winery
Bodega Santos Sodupe is a family winery in San Asensio, in the heart of Rioja Alta, with its own vineyards and a wine culture handed down from parents to children. It is run by a grape grower who learned the trade from his father and grandfather and now works alongside his two sons; the wine bears the family surname. Many of the vines are a century old and the harvest is done by hand. The old winery keeps an underground cellar which, according to the house, has been dated to the 16th century. The range includes Santos Sodupe Crianza and Reserva, the Graciano, Descuido, made by traditional carbonic maceration, Pekadora, the Titis line in red, white and rosé, and the Pekador red and white vermouths. The same building houses the family restaurant La Bodega, where meals come with the house wines.
