About the winery

Soto de Torres is the Familia Torres winery in Labastida, in Rioja Alavesa, built at Alto Otero on what used to be scrubland. The building, of around 7,800 square metres, was designed in line with the family's philosophy of working in harmony with the environment, with landscape integration by Catalan architect Gabriel Barba, its own water treatment plant and a rainwater tank whose water is reused for cleaning. Its winegrowing project, La Carbonera, has more than 20 hectares of its own vineyards and takes its name from its most emblematic estate, classified as a Viñedo Singular (single vineyard) by the D.O.Ca. Rioja. Tempranillo-based wines such as Altos Ibéricos, La Carbonera, Las Pisadas and Malpastor are made here.
