About the winery
Torre de Oña is the winery that La Rioja Alta, S.A. owns in Páganos, next to Laguardia, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. The project began in 1995 with the idea of making a wine with the personality of a single estate, in the style of the châteaux. Since 2005 they have studied their soils and vinified and aged each sub-plot separately, and this work gave rise to Finca San Martín, Finca Martelo and the wine of their Club de Cosecheros. Visits take in the vineyard and the winery and end with a tasting: the simplest includes three wines and homemade chorizo, another pairs three wines with pinchos from their kitchen, and there is also a picnic on the estate. It also has a wine bar and shop, a private dining room and a manor house among the vines reserved for club members.
