About the winery
Tr3smano is a winery in Padilla de Duero, Peñafiel, right in the so-called golden mile of the D.O. Ribera del Duero. It was founded by three friends: Fernando Remírez de Ganuza from Navarre, linked to Rioja; Pedro Aibar from Aragon, associated with the early days of Somontano; and José Ramón Ruiz, a wine distributor in Mexico. They work only with Tempranillo from old, low-yielding vines, mostly organically farmed, blending grapes from three sub-areas. Their wines are Tr3smano, TM by Tr3smano and Proventus, plus a white made from Albillo Mayor. The guided visit takes in the vineyard, with a stop by an ancient olive tree, the facilities and the centuries-old cellars, and ends with a tasting paired with local cheeses on a terrace overlooking the Duero valley.
