About the winery
Bodegas Vega Saúco is a family winery dating from 1986, although the family has been devoted to viticulture and winemaking for more than 35 years. However, it was in 1991 that Wences entered the market, selling bottled red wines made from the «Tinta de Toro» variety. From then on sales grew and what is today one of the leading wineries of Toro began to take shape. In 1997 it opened a modern winery equipped with the best winemaking systems.
