About the winery
When the Romans arrived in El Bierzo, fascinated by the grandeur of the mountains rising before them, they noticed a large number of “Aquilias” (eagles) flying over the peaks, and so named them the Montes Aquilianos. The vineyard, located on the slopes of the Montes Aquilianos and entirely influenced by their climatic whims, gives the wine a very distinctive profile, which is why it deserves the name Akilia.
