Bodega y Viñedos Bruneo

◍ Zamora

About the winery

Bruneo is a winery in Fermoselle, in the Sayago district and in the heart of the Arribes del Duero Natural Park, within the D.O. Arribes. Since 2016 it has been working to recover rare local varieties from old vines between 70 and 120 years old, planted on granite terraces beside the Duero canyon and farmed organically. In very limited editions it makes three single-varietal wines, Bruneo Bruñal, Bruneo Juan García and Bruneo Malvasía, aged in French oak barrels inside its historic cellar. The guided visit takes you through the underground galleries of this roughly 500-year-old cellar, carved into the rock with granite arches and traces of the Sephardic presence, and ends with a tasting of the three wines with cured meats, cheeses and olive oil.
