About the winery
Bodega y Viñedos Las Danzas is the project of Carmen Martínez Rodríguez, a lifelong grower on the slopes of Cangas del Narcea, in the D.O.P. Cangas. After years of growing grapes, the family decided to create its own winery and brand, and in 2019 released the first vintage of La Media Vuelta. They farm 3.3 hectares of mountain vineyard, so steep that the whole harvest is done by hand, with the area's traditional varieties: Albarín Blanco, Albarín Negro, Mencía, Carrasquín and Verdejo Negro. Under the La Media Vuelta label they make single-varietal Albarín Blanco, also aged in Asturian oak, Albarín Negro and Verdejo Negro, plus a Mencía and Carrasquín, and round off the range with La Danza Prima white and red.
