Bodegas Alto Moncayo
About the winery
The winery was born in 2002, taking as its starting point some of the oldest vineyards in the area. It currently produces wine from 92 hectares of native mountain Garnacha vines, planted several decades ago on the slopes of the Moncayo foothills, in unique red clay soils mixed with slate. These soils are poor in organic matter and shallow. The vines are bush-trained with native clones of the local strain and face south-west. The winery is located in Borja, the nerve centre of the D.O. Campo de Borja.
