About the winery
The recent history of Bodegas Altona begins in 2002. Our name comes from the fusion of the words «alto» (Spanish for high) and «ona» («good» in Basque). With them we aim to represent, on the one hand, the region where our winery is located (Rioja Alta) and, on the other, the quality of these lands and the wines produced in them. Despite our youth, we have set ourselves a difficult challenge: to rank among the leading wineries in the highly competitive and demanding Rioja Qualified Denomination of Origin.
