About the winery
At Pascual Berganzo we are a 100% family-run, artisan winery. We specialise in carbonic maceration wines (cosechero wines) and other high-quality Rioja Alavesa wines. We are in the heart of Samaniego, the golden mile of Rioja Alavesa. My family's Pascual Berganzo cellars date back to the 17th century; in fact, the underground cellars can be visited in the wine shop. My father, Eduardo Pascual, was part of the new generation of cosecheros in the 1980s, who made aromatic young wines in stone presses.
